You need


For the cuddle toy:

Fasten off and weave in ends. Fold the piece of cloth in half, hold it with the head facing you and the right side facing up. Make a slipk not with color B and draw up the yarn up trhoug the first (furhtest right) 2 stitches that you  have placed on top of each other. Crochet the sides together by working 1 sl st through every set of two stitches.




Legs


Rnd 1: make a MR with color A, and work 6 sc into the MR.
Rnd 2: *2 sc in next sc*, rep from *to*, 1 sc, rep 2 x grom *to*, 1 sc. 10
Rnd 3: 1 sc, *2 sc in next sc*, rep from *to*, 3 sc, rep 2 x from *to*, 2 sc. 14
Rnd 4. 14 sc through the back loop.
Rnd 5-6: 14 sc
Rnd 7: 2 sc, sc2tog, 5 sc, sc2tog, 3 sc. 12
Rnd 8-15: Change to color B in the final sc.
Rnd 16:12 sc
Rnd 17: 12 sc through the back loop. Remove the hook from the loop and make the loop even larger. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew the leg closed and attaching it to the cloth. Make a border for the sleeve. With the foot facing away and the open side facing you, make a new slipknot color B, draw the yarn up in the front loop of rnd 17 and work 1 ch and 1 hdc into the same from loop. Work 1 hdc into each of the front loops, finish with 1 sl st in the ch ant the beginning. Break yarn and fasten off. Stuff the leg and weave in ends. Fold the leg in half, take the first working thread and stitch the leg closed with 5 sc. Make three nails with white yarn. Finally attach the yarn first by drawing the yarn throught the leg a couple of times. Attach the legs along the edge of the sleeping bag level with Rnd 23 y 24 .

Trunk


Rnd 1: make a MR with color A, and work 6 sc into the MR.
Rnd 2: *1 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 2 x from *to*. 9
Rnd 3: 9 sc through the back loop.
Rnd 4-7: 9 sc
Rnd 8: *2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 2 x grom *to*. 12
Rnd 9-12: 12 sc
Rnd 13: *3 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 2 x from *to*. 15
Rnd 14-17: 15 sc.
Break yarn, leaving a long tail. Fasten off, lightly stuff the trunk and attach the trunk level with Rnd 13 and Rnd 17 to the center of the head. Embroider two eyes on the head level with Rnd 11 and Rnd 12. Space the eyes about 8 sitiches apart.

Ears


Rnd 1:  make a MR with gray yarn and work 6 sc into the MR.

Break yarn, leaving a long tail, and fasten off. Attach the ear to the head level with Rnd 9 to Rnd 16. Fold the ear in falf at the spot where you increased in Rnd 39 and Rnd 42. The middle increase is the point at which the fold comes together. This fives the ear the shape of an elephant ear. This part, the ear lobe, is the bottom part of the ear.


Tip! do not break the yarn when changing color, but keep it danglilng at the back of your work and pich the color back up when you go back to using that color again.

Finishing


Crochet a butterfly by working the following stitches into a MR with color C: 2 ch, 3 dc, 1 sl sc, 1 ch, 3 hdc, 1 sl st, 1 ch, 3 hdc, 1 sl st, 2 ch, 3 dc, sl st. Fasten off and break yarn, leaving a long tail. Attach the butterfly to the front of the sleeping bag. Use the yarn to make antennae. Embrodider the eyes onto the head and stitch eyelashes with the embroidery floss.



Rattle

Partly stuff the head. Place the rattle ball in the middle and continue to stuff the head. Make sure that the ball is firmly placed in the center, keeping the outer layer of the head soft.

Rnd 21: 18 sc through the front loop.
Rnd 22-23: 18 sc. Change to color C in the final stitch. Continue to firmly stuff the head.
Rnd 24-26: 18 sc. Change to color B in the final stitch.
Rnd 27-29: 18 sc. Change to color C in the final stitch.
Rnd 30-32: 18 sc. Change to color B in the final stitch.
Rnd 33-35: 18 sc. Change to color C in the final stitch.
Rnd 36-38: 18 sc. Change to color B in the final stitch and break yarn for color C.
Rnd 39-40: 18 sc
Rnd 41: *2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, rep 5 x from *to*. Change to color A in the final stitch and break yarn for color B. 24
Rnd 42: 24 sc through the back loop.

Continue to stuff the rattle as firmly as you can.
Rnd 55: *sc2tog", rep 5 from *to*. 6.
With a needle, draw the yarn across the six remaining stitches and pull tight to snugly close off the body. Then, stitch into the center at the bottom, draw the yarn through the rattle and tug lightly if the bump forms on the bottom. This will draw the bump back into the rattle making the bottom nice and smooth.

Sweater border


Make a border for the sweater with color B. Follow the same technique as for the sleeve border. Make a slipknot with color B and draw the yarn up through one of the  front loops on the wrong side. Crochet 2 ch and 1 hdc in the stitch through which you drew the slipknot. Crochet the fastening thread along with it, as you would do when changin colors. Then, work 1 hdc into each front loop. Finish the border with 1 sl st in the ch-sp and fasten with a few stitches. Break yarn and weave in the end.

Collar


Crochet 22 ch with color B. Crochet 20 dc, starting in the 3rd ch from the hook. Attach the collar just under the head, stitching it in place.

Finishing


Make a butterfly and attach in tho the ear. Make a MR with color C and work the following into de MR: 2 ch, 2dc, 2 sl st, 1 ch, 2 hdc, 1 sl st, 1 ch, 2 hdc, 1 sl st, 2 ch, 2 dc, 1 sl st. Pull the yarn to clse the MR before attaching the butterfly.
